Mums in Leadership

A community in Sheffield for mums who are leaders to connect, collaborate, and champion one another.

About Mums in Leadership

Mums in Leadership is a networking group for working mums in leadership positions.

Whether you run your own business, charity, or organisation (hi, that’s us!) or work in a C-suite or executive role, we would love to welcome you.

As the name might suggest, our community is open to mums in leadership positions. It doesn't matter what kind of mum you are or how you had your children (whether they are biological, adopted, fostered, step-children, or you co-parent in another way). It also doesn’t matter what context you lead in, as long as you’re in a position of leadership. It can be in the business or charity sector, government or other organisations.

We started this community to create a space for working women in leadership positions (like us) to connect and explore some of the unique challenges that come with juggling a career and a family, and specifically come with being business leaders and mothers. The (str)juggle is real.

We were also inspired by campaigns like Pregnant Then Screwed and learning about the ‘motherhood penalty’ – the loss in lifetime earnings experienced by women raising children – to create a local networking community.
